At Ravelston, we are creating brand new playgrounds designed to inspire curiosity, adventure, and imaginative play for our Junior School pupils. These spaces will include a variety of equipment and zones to suit different ages and interests - from climbing and balancing areas that build confidence and coordination, to quieter corners where children can enjoy time with friends. Our aim is to provide an environment where every child feels included, active, and excited to play and explore.
At Queensferry Road, we are developing a series of outdoor wellbeing spaces for our Senior School pupils. These areas will provide calm, restorative environments away from the busy pace of school life. Designed with input from students, the spaces will encourage reflection, relaxation, and connection with nature, supporting both mental health and overall wellbeing. Whether used for quiet study, small group conversations, or simply a moment of stillness, these new outdoor areas will become an important part of daily life for our young people.
Together, these projects will ensure that students across the school have access to outdoor environments that support their happiness, resilience, and growth.
